The rules that apply when you book a tour with us. Written in plain language, and describing what we actually do.

Who you are contracting with
Tours are operated by Pathfinder Experiences LLC dba Cornerstone Tours, 8401 Mayland Dr, Richmond, VA 23294. Reservations and payments are processed by Peek Pro on our behalf.
Prices and what is included
Prices are per person in US dollars and are shown at checkout. Reduced rates apply to seniors, military, youth and children, and infants go free.
Where a route includes entry to a federal building, that entry is included in the price and reserved in your name. Food, drinks, transport and gratuities are not included.
Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your tour start time and receive a full refund.
Cancellations inside 24 hours cannot be refunded. By that point your guide is committed to the departure and any reserved entry passes have been issued in your name and cannot be reassigned.
To cancel, use the link in your confirmation email or contact us. Refunds go back to the original payment method and typically take five to ten business days to appear.
Changes by you
Yes. Rescheduling is free and has no cutoff. We will generally move you to any departure with space, even after a missed tour. Just tell us the date you want.
Changes or cancellation by us
We run rain or shine and will not cancel for weather unless there is a genuine safety concern.
Occasionally a federal building closes at short notice for an event, a security situation or an official function. This is outside our control. If it happens we will tell you as early as we can and will either run a modified route or, if the closure removes the substance of what you booked, refund you in full.
If we cancel a departure for any reason, you get a full refund. We do not cover travel or accommodation costs.
Arriving late, and no-shows
Please arrive at the meeting point ten minutes before the start time, and 15 minutes before on Capitol Hill tours. On routes with reserved timed entry we cannot hold the group past the entry slot. If you are late you are welcome to catch us up at the next stop, but we cannot refund a missed portion, and a no-show is not refundable.
Behaviour and the sites we visit
Arlington National Cemetery is an active cemetery and a place of mourning, and the buildings on Capitol Hill are working institutions with their own security rules. Guests are expected to follow the rules of each site and the directions of security staff and of your guide.
Weapons, sharp objects, alcohol and drugs are not permitted at Arlington. Food, drinks, backpacks and large bags are not permitted inside the Capitol or the Library of Congress.
We may end a guest’s tour without a refund if their behaviour puts others at risk or disrupts the tour for the rest of the group.
Accessibility
The Capitol Hill routes and the Lincoln tour are wheelchair accessible. Arlington and Georgetown are outdoor routes with gradients and uneven ground. Tell us your requirements before booking and we will give you a straight answer about whether the route will work.
Photography
Your guide may take photographs of the group. Tell your guide if you would rather not be in them and that is the end of it.
Liability
These are walking tours in a city, largely outdoors, and you take part on the basis that you are fit enough for the duration and distance described on the tour page. You are responsible for your own belongings.
We are liable for loss or injury caused by our own negligence. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
We are not responsible for the acts of the federal sites we visit, including their opening hours, security decisions and closures.
Booking through another platform
If you booked through Viator, GetYourGuide, Airbnb Experiences or Tripadvisor, that platform’s booking and cancellation terms apply to your reservation, not these. Changes and refunds go through them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
