US Capitol & Library of Congress / Supreme Court Tour

Begin your journey at Florida House and then the iconic U.S. Supreme Court, one of the most powerful and recognizable buildings in the world. Take in its grand Corinthian marble columns and storied exterior while hearing the stories and traditions that shape the nation’s highest court.

From there, we make our way inside the Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress, the largest library on Earth and one of the most breathtaking interiors in all of Washington. Step into the stunning Main Reading Room, take in the intricate architecture, and see treasures like the Gutenberg Bible and the personal library of Thomas Jefferson himself.

Next, we travel underground into the Capitol Visitor Center, where you’ll discover famous statues, hidden history, and remarkable stories tucked throughout the halls. Enjoy the short film “Out of Many, One” followed by a docent-led tour of the stunning Capitol Rotunda, the crypt of the Capitol, National Statuary Hall, and – in the quieter winter months – the Old House and Senate Chambers.

Know Before You Go

• The Library of Congress is closed on Mondays – Monday tours instead include the interior of the Supreme Court, a visit to the Senate or House chamber, or the US Botanic Garden
• The tour lasts approximately 3 hours and is wheelchair accessible
• Food, drinks, backpacks, and large bags are not permitted inside the buildings
• We run rain or shine – we will not cancel for weather unless there is a safety concern
